Overseas business
This policy was designed for UK residents conducting business in the UK but cover has has now been extended.
This page sets out the details and terms under which this policy provides cover for business conducted overseas.
Cover is available for business conducted anywhere in the world excluding USA & its Protectorates subject to the following:
- It is fully recognised by the client that the Policy is STRICTLY subject to UK jurisdiction only, which means that the Policy will be interpreted by reference to English Law & any disputes arising under the Policy must be litigated in UK Courts.
- The client warrants that the address used for the application, contact & correspondence is either the applicant's UK address as would be evidenced on the Electoral Roll or that of their parents.
The policy is issued in UK by an insurer authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Any unresolved complaint can be taken to the Ombudsman. Please enquire if you require more details of this and how to make use of this facility.
This policy and its method of delivery to you uses the latest Internet based technology. For proper issuance of the coverage, no signature is required because the insurers have agreed and authorised this issue providing the questions set out in the application process have been properly answered and there is no attempt to circumvent the system, manipulate or "hack", and that the appropriate premium is properly paid.
Insurance is about claims, and in the event of a claim it is very important that certain procedures are followed. It is in the event of a claim that a signed declaration will be required. This declaration merely asks the policy holder to confirm that the information they entered into the system and upon which the policy is issued is correct at that time and date.
Further, some of the therapies or business activities we cover it is a requirement of cover that membership of a particular organisation is a condition of cover. Where this is the case it is clearly marked and you will be asked to confirm your understanding of this.
What you should read.
It is important that you fully understand what you are covered
for and the conditions under which cover is granted. We publish all of the
necessary information here on this site. Nothing is hidden away and nothing
we believe is difficult to find. Whilst we will know if you have opened
a document we cannot tell if you have printed it or read it thoroughly.
The application process will ask you to confirm that you have read these documents and understand them. Do not proceed if you do not fully understand any part of this.
